THE PROGRAM FOR THE FALL OF 2007 is an English presentation of the Young Canadian Leadership Challenge in Cantley, Québec - suitable, as well, to French-speaking youth 10-19 with passable English. We do not yet have quite enough French-speaking Facilitators to hold this event in Cantley en français.

We will be using this event partly to train suffiicent French-speaking personnnel - so that our next event can be held en français.

This event will be hosted by Michel and Monique on the grounds of their horse farm - Ranch Caleta (http://www.ranchcaleta.com/index.htm) in Cantley - which is 20 minutes north of Ottawa on Highway 307. For directions see the Ranch Caleta web site.

There is a distinct possibility of a French-language YCLC in October 2007 in Welland , Ontario. The Cantley Lions Club holds fund-raising events, and as YCLC sponsors are committed to financial support of youth who cannot pay. Support might include support to attend the French-speaking event in Welland.

Rides and Meeting of Out-of-Town Attendees

There will be a shuttle from downtown Ottawa both to and from the event - which will be announced in detail in the two weeks before the event - once we know the parts of the city where there are youth needing rides. Make sure you let us know if you will be needing a ride. This includes adults.

How to contact us about program details, payment of fees, etc.

We are a small group with may things on the go. We do not always have every piece of information you may seek. Many program decisions are made in the two weeks before the program depending on local conditions.

We would prefer, if you have a question, that you send us an e-mail. We will answer it promptly. If internet-based communication is not possible or to your liking, please try one of our two telephone lines for the summer of 2007 for the Ottawa area:
